Here in California, it’s been spring-like for a long time. In fact, it’s very rarely not spring-like. It was spring-like in mid January, when temperatures stayed in a comfortable 65-75 degree range during the day, only dipping below 50 at night.
Now, though, it’s actually Spring. And though California’s seasons are a bit looser defined than those on the East Coast, there are still some sure signs that we’re done with “winter”, such as it is here.
Max has been noticing the signs, and celebrating the new season. Recently, a family of geese took up residence, with their four goslings, in the pond in our apartment complex. Max enjoys visiting them each morning. The geese are less thrilled to see him.
Spring also means lots of flowers in bloom. Max especially enjoys roses. He always takes time to stop and smell/pee on them.
One of our favorite local parks, Heather Farms Park, is especially beautiful this time of year. They have a community rose garden which is kept in great shape by volunteers. Max enjoyed touring it by stroller. Here he is resting under a gazebo after exploring the garden.
We’re loving Spring in California, and so is Maxwell!
